This page covers how to get around Studio: the Home page you land on, the sidebar on the left, and the top bar with its search field, theme toggle and profile menu. It also explains the pop-up messages that tell you when something has finished, and how to bring any page within reach.
The sidebar groups pages into Build, Manage, Optimize and Library, with Home above them. These docs name a page as section → page, for example Optimize → Call History. Expand the sidebar to see the section headings.

Home

When you sign in, you land on Home. It has two parts. Ask the Co-pilot. The heading greets you by your first name, for example What can we do for you, Sam? Under it is a message box. Describe what you want and press Enter, or choose one of the four starter cards: Build, Analyze, Fix or Reach out. Either way, a Squawk Co-pilot conversation opens full screen. Once you have past conversations, a Threads column appears beside the message box. The icon at the top left of the page hides or shows it.
If a conversation is open in the Co-pilot panel, Home opens that conversation full screen instead of this page. Close the panel first to see the overview.
Your overview. Below the message box and the starter cards is a section headed with your account name and the line Usage across every channel in this workspace. It gives you your recent activity at a glance:
  • All agents — choose one or more agents to focus on. It reads All agents until you pick some.
  • Time range — Today, Last 7 Days (the default), Last 30 Days or Custom Range. Days follow your browser’s time zone. To use UTC instead, switch on Use UTC in the same menu.
  • Refresh — reloads the numbers.
  • Voice, Chats and Emails cards — one per channel, each showing how many calls, chats or emails there were in the period. A small ▲ or ▼ percentage shows the change against the previous period of the same length, and is left out when nothing changed. Select a card to open that channel’s analytics page: Call Analytics, Chat Analytics or Email Analytics.
  • Conversation volume — a line for each channel, day by day. When more than one channel is shown, the All, Voice, Chats and Emails switch lets you look at one channel at a time. If nothing happened in the period, the chart is replaced by No usage in this period; try a wider time range.
The numbers are the same ones the analytics pages show, so they match those pages when you choose the same period and agents. If the overview can’t load, select Refresh to try again.

The Sidebar

The sidebar is how you move between pages. It shows the pages you have chosen, not every page in Studio. You decide what it holds.

Collapsed and expanded

The sidebar starts as a narrow rail of icons. Point at an icon to see the page’s name, or select it to open the page. The current page is highlighted. Thin lines separate the sections. Two buttons sit at the foot of the sidebar. Customize sidebar is an icon on the collapsed rail. Expand sidebar shows the page names and the section headings. Once the sidebar is open, the same button reads Collapse; select it to fold the sidebar back to the rail. Studio remembers whether you left it open or closed.

Pick a role

The pages in your sidebar start from a role. You start as Agent Builder. You can switch role at any time in Customize sidebar.

Which pages are in the default sidebar

This table shows the Agent Builder sidebar. Most pages are not in it, which is why a step such as “select Billing in the sidebar” may not find the page at first. Add it as described below. To bring in a page that isn’t there, use any of these:
  • Customize sidebar — switch the page on. See Customize the sidebar.
  • The pin — open the page and pin it from its header. See Pin a page.
  • Search — press Cmd/Ctrl+K and type the page’s name. You can open any page from here without adding it to the sidebar. See Quick Search.
API Keys has no sidebar or search entry, so it can’t be added or searched for. You open it from a campaign. See API Keys.

Customize the sidebar

1

Open the dialog

Select Customize sidebar at the foot of the sidebar. The dialog is titled Customize sidebar and says Toggle pages on or off. Changes apply on save.
2

Choose a role (optional)

Under Your role, select Agent Builder, Analyst or Administrator to start from that role’s pages. Choosing a role clears any page-by-page changes you made, so pick the role first.
3

Switch pages on or off

Each page has a switch and a one-line description. Use Search pages… at the top to find a page. A Default badge marks the pages in your role’s list. An Advanced badge marks the more technical pages: Data Transformers, Call History, Chat History, Email History, Auth Profiles, Connected Apps and Data Exports. The badge is only a label; you can still switch these on. Home is locked on.
4

Save

Select Save Changes. The sidebar doesn’t change until you do. Cancel closes the dialog without saving. Reset returns the sidebar to the default pages for the role you last saved and closes the dialog straight away, without Save Changes. It also folds the sidebar back to the icon rail.
The footer shows how many pages are switched on (N shown). It also reminds you that hidden pages stay available in search, so hiding a page never locks you out of it.

Pin a page from its header

You can also add a page without opening the dialog.
  1. Open the page.
  2. Select the pin icon at the right end of the page header. Its tooltip names the page, for example Pin Call Analytics to sidebar.
The page joins the sidebar straight away, with no Save Changes needed. Select the icon again (the tooltip now reads Remove Call Analytics from sidebar) to take it off. The pin and Customize sidebar change the same list. On an agent’s own page, the pin adds or removes AI Agents, because agent pages belong to that sidebar entry. Home has no pin. It’s always in the sidebar.

Where your layout is saved

Studio saves your sidebar layout, and whether it’s collapsed, in your browser, for your user.
  • It doesn’t follow you to another browser or computer, and clearing your browser’s site data resets it.
  • A browser keeps one saved layout. If someone else signs in on the same browser, they start from the default pages, and so do you the next time you sign in there.
  • You can’t reorder the pages. They always appear in the order of the sections and the table above.
The search field in the middle of the top bar does two jobs: it finds pages and actions, and it asks the Co-pilot. Press Cmd+K on a Mac or Ctrl+K on Windows and Linux, from any page, to jump to it. You can also click it. The field reads Ask us anything, or jump to a page… (Ask us on a narrow window). Use these keys in the list that opens: The bottom of the list shows these hints and a count of results.

Ask the Co-pilot

As soon as you type, the first row becomes Ask AI about …, and it’s highlighted. Press Enter to send your question to the Co-pilot. To open a page instead, press ↓ to move past that row first.

Open a page

Type part of a page name. Results are grouped by sidebar section. Search lists every page in the table above, including pages that aren’t in your sidebar. You don’t need the exact name either. Search also matches related words, such as credentials for Auth Profiles, outbound for Campaigns, teammates for Users, csv for Data Exports and payments for Billing.

Return to a recent chat

With the field empty, the list starts with Recent chats: your four most recent Co-pilot conversations. Select one to reopen it full screen.

Run an action

Actions are listed last.

Work on an agent

When Studio has an agent to work with, search adds a group of shortcuts for it. The group’s heading is one of these labels followed by the agent’s name, so you can see which agent the shortcuts apply to:
  • Current Assistant — you’re on that agent’s pages.
  • Last Visited Assistant — the agent you opened most recently.
  • Latest Updated Assistant — your workspace’s most recently updated agent, used when no agent has been opened recently.
The group includes:
  • Open Current Assistant (or Open Last Updated Assistant) — opens the agent’s main page.
  • Copy Agent ID — copies the agent’s ID.
  • Duplicate AI Agent and Export AI Agent — the same as Duplicate and Export in the agent card menu. From search they run straight away, without asking you to confirm, so check the agent’s name in the heading first.
  • Talk and Chat — start a test call or a test chat.
  • Shortcuts to a single setting, such as Voice Greeting Message, Voice Configuration, Guidelines, Agent Settings, Timezone, Max Call Duration and Silence Timeout. Each opens the agent at that setting.

The Top Bar

The top bar runs across every page.
  • Search field — in the middle. See Quick Search.
  • Co-pilot button — at the right, on every page except Home and the full-screen chat. It opens the Co-pilot as a panel beside your page. On a narrow window it shows only an icon. See Open the Co-pilot.
  • Theme toggle — a moon or sun icon. See Theme.
  • Profile button — a round button with your initials. See Your profile menu.
If your wallet balance drops below $1.00, a Low Balance banner appears above the top bar. Its Set up Billing button opens Manage → Billing. See Billing & Plans.

Theme

Select the moon icon to switch Studio to its dark theme. In the dark theme the icon becomes a sun; select it to switch back. You can also run Switch to Dark Theme or Switch to Light Theme from search. Studio opens in the light theme and doesn’t follow your computer’s light or dark setting. It remembers your choice in this browser only, so you may need to set it again on another browser or computer.

Your profile menu

Select the round button with your initials. The menu has two items:
  • Settings — opens Profile Settings, where you change your name and password. Your email address can’t be changed there. See Profile Settings.
  • Logout — signs you out and returns you to the sign-in page.

Notifications

Studio has no notification center and no notification settings. Messages appear as short pop-ups at the bottom right of the window. Most close by themselves after a few seconds, or you can close one with its X. Two kinds are easy to miss:
  • Exports. After you start an export, a message tells you when it’s done: Export completed and ready for download, or Export failed: followed by the reason. Download the file from Manage → Data Exports, which isn’t in the default sidebar. Add it to your sidebar or find it with search. If you missed the message because it closed or you had left Studio, the export is still listed on that page. See Data Exports.
  • Web scrapes and crawls. While the Webscrapes view of a Knowledge Group is open, a message appears when a scrape or crawl that you started finishes, for example Web scrape completed: or Web crawl failed:, followed by the address. Running one again shows Rescrape or Recrawl instead, and a failure message gives the reason underneath. See Knowledge Base.
